Warehouse Relocation Service in Kalamazoo, MI
Moving a warehouse means moving its racking. We survey the rack you own, redraw it for the new building, tear it down, transport it and reinstall it, so you are shipping from the new dock as fast as the rack allows.
Warehouse Moving Services Built Around the Rack
General warehouse moving companies move inventory and equipment. Rack is different: it has to come down in order, stay sorted by component, and go back up to a drawing. That is the part we own.
Many moves here run from an older 18–24 ft clear plant in Portage, Comstock or Battle Creek into a new 32 ft clear building along I-94, at Pavilion Commerce Park, a new Fort Custer building or a new Oshtemo campus. The new space has different column spacing and much more height, so a straight copy of the old layout wastes it.
How Our Warehouse Movers Run a Rack Relocation
Survey the existing rack
We record frame heights and depths, beam lengths and profiles, decking and accessories, and count every component.
Draw the new building
A CAD layout for the new space, sized to its clear height, column grid, docks and your forklifts.
Tag and tear down
Components are tagged to the new layout as they come down, so reassembly follows the drawing.
Transport
Loaded and moved on a schedule set with your operations lead, timed around winter weather when needed.
Reinstall
Frames set, anchored to the floor, beams and decking placed, capacity labels posted.
What Changes Between Buildings
Clear height decides whether your frames are still the right height. Column grid decides where rows land. Dock positions decide where fast movers go. A legacy paper-mill building in Parchment or Plainwell will lay out very differently from a 36 ft clear spec building in Portage.
Often the move is the right time to add a system: a pushback block near the docks, or carton flow for picking. New selective pallet rack can fill out what the old system cannot cover.
Why Pick Us Over Other Warehouse Relocation Companies
We plan rack for a living, so the new layout is drawn before the old one comes down. Moves between Battle Creek, Comstock Township and Oshtemo Township run along I-94 in a short drive.
Winter moves are planned around the weather. Our team handles the permit side for you.
