What type of pallet rack do I need?

Selective teardrop is the starting point for mixed products. Pushback uses two-to-six-deep last-in, first-out lanes by product; pallet flow gives dated stock first-in, first-out rotation. Drive-in serves bulk lots with few products, cantilever holds long material and carton flow handles case picking.

What size pallet rack should I order?

Measure real pallets first. Standard 48-inch-deep pallets generally use 42-inch-deep uprights; common beams are 96 inches for two 40-inch pallets, 108 inches and 144 inches for three. Rack height follows building clear height and forklift lift height.

How much weight can each rack level hold?

Beam capacity is rated per pair per level, while frame capacity depends on height and beam spacing. We size from the heaviest pallet rather than assigning one universal rating, and show capacities on load plaques.

Pallet Rack Systems in Kalamazoo, MI

The rack that fits a new 32 ft clear building at Pavilion Commerce Park is rarely the rack that fits an 18 ft plant in Comstock or a legacy mill building in Parchment. We pick the system from your inventory, then size it to your building.

Turns, pallets per SKU, pallet size and weight, clear height, column grid and forklift reach decide it.

Local buildings, local conditions

Pharma and med-device warehouses in Kalamazoo and Portage need clean, high-SKU storage. Auto-parts suppliers at Fort Custer in Battle Creek stage parts for just-in-time delivery. Fruit, dairy and juice processors around Paw Paw run cold rooms. Each points to a different system.

Winter shapes the schedule: lake-effect snow on the west side and cold docks mean we plan deliveries and installs with the weather in mind. If you are changing buildings, our warehouse relocation service moves the rack with you. See the towns we serve.
